PDFTEXT converts PDF files to plain text. It is capable of performing simple text manipulation, such as stripping stop words, grammatical structure analysis and extracting any URLs found in the document. PDFTEXT is useful in situations where you want to export the content of PDF file to another application that only understands plain text, such as Endnote. PDFTEXT can extract noun phrases from your document, allowing easy creation of a concept index which can be used to describe the document.
